Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well worth the money I needed downlights that use a 72mm cut out to replace existing lights and these fit the bill. Had my doubts when I saw the price and thought they can't be good quality but in fact they feel really nice and seem well made. Nice positive push fit cable connections, super easy to install. Too early to say on reliability as only just installed them. The only thing I would warn people is they don't have a very wide bezel, so even though they fit the cut out in the ceiling the bezel does not cover the marks left behind by the old downlights that had a wider bezel. Just something to watch out for.

Are these lights ok for bathroom

Has anyone figured out a technique to pull the lights back out again without tearing the plaster/ceiling? The 72mm is just not big enough.

THESE ARE NOT FIRE RATED

Not entirely sure why these days anyone would sell non fire-rated downlights let alone any Competent Person fit them. Been doing an EICR on a big house which has been fitted top to bottom with these and got tell the householder they dont comply. Beware.

Comply with what? I think you should look at the regulations. Downlights should be fire rated where they disrupt a fire barrier. eg A ceiling between separate dwellings (flats), or a commercial property and a property where someone is living above. They don't have to be fire rated within a single property, no matter how many floors, if those ceilings aren't classed as fire barriers.

Outdoor use

Can these be used outdoor as soffit lighting.
