Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most affective These bulbs replaced all my other bulbs so they use less energy and save me money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brighter Than You Think Got these when I needed to install some lights in a loft storage area . Fitted them with the angled batten lamp holders so they were unobtrusive when moving around in a confined space . They say they're equivalent to 40w , but buying the daylight model gave a far superior illumination than expected, so were perfect. Also fitted a pull chord switch situated by the loft hatch . The whole job was smooth and easy , done in a couple of hours and using good gear made it a problem free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright LED light bulbs Appear to be good quality bulbs at a decent price. Too early to review durability

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not "daylight" I bought these because they came up in a search for "daylight" bulbs. The spec does say "Colour Temperature Description: Daylight" but I should have read the next line, "Colour Temperature Value: 4000 K." 4000 K is not "daylight" unless you live on a planet near a dying yellow dwarf star. For Earth-style daylight you need more like 6000 K.

Energy Rating

The previous ones of these show a energy rating of A+ on the box Why are these new ones now an E, that's a bad drop in rating there? What's changed?
Asked by: BigFella81
Google'd the answer, seems the scale has changed & been updated. Quote: Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean your household appliances are any less efficient than before, they are just rated slightly different. The new label system also makes it much harder for appliances to be A or B rated, meaning that these categories on our site and many others will seem bare to begin with. This will motivate brands and inventors to create new appliances which are more eco-friendly than ever before. Understandably, the new system has much stricter requirements to avoid changes to the scale within the near future. Inevitably, in today’s constantly changing world, the top energy classes will fill up once again in the coming years. Another rescaling will then take place.

Which dimmer switch is most suitable for these bulbs

It looks like the manufacturer has recently changed the product slightly so now they produce a buzzing noise. Can anyone recommend a dimmer switch that works with the current version of these bulbs.
Asked by: Mrsp1234
Hello Mrsp1234, These would need to be used with a Trailing Edge type dimmer switch, something such as the MK Essentials 1-Gang 2-Way LED Dimmer Switch White with Colour-Matched Inserts (703HV). Thank you for using Q&A
