Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bit of kit I bought this to replace an old RF modulator I had for years, I didn’t expect a huge difference but it was starting to restart intermittently so a change was needed This new modulator is excellent, says can transmit at near HD quality, it does I can now tune any of the TVs to use digital signal and works as if the TVs were plugged into an hdmi source. I’ve connected it via a 6 way hdmi splitter also ( I also feed HDMI extenders from sky box, hence the splitter ) that can sometimes cause weakness of signals, not with this, works perfectly Build quality is also excellent

will this work on a av input camera with a converta to f from bnc

Asked by: hippie
The Labgear Encoder Modulator required an HDMI input source, so would not work with a single CCTV camera.

Do the TVs connected require an HD tuner or will it work with older digital TVs

Asked by: YetiBob
As long as the onboard tuner is MPeg4 compatible it should work on very old sets MPeg2 was used which is not compatible, most TV sets produced within the last 5 years should be fine.
