Rated 5 out of 5 by from Aerial pole Heavy duty and well worth the price. It was very easy to fit to my exterior wall

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Bought these on the strength of the reviews, they looked to be exactly what I needed. I don't see how they can be described as solid and sturdy though. They certainly don't require a hammer to fit them together. In fact its quite a loose fit and that's the problem. With the bottom pole held firm, the top pole is free to wiggle about. Maybe half inch of free play in it at the top. I bought two sets of these, and randomly one pole has a hole drilled in it at one end... but none of the others do. No fixings were supplied. So the purpose of this hole is a mystery. Its good quality steel, but its hard to recommend it for use as an mast. And certainly not if you intend to stack more than two poles together. Far better off just buying a solid length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3m Antenna Mast This is a heavy duty mast, heavier than other lightweight alternatives and requires adequate fixing to wall. I used 2* 9 inch brackets. The finish is not shiny silver but more of a rainbow effect which offers good camouflage against sky and brickwork. I mounted a 2m vertical amateur radio antenna and small TV aerial to the mast. Would probably be overkill for regular TV aerial.

Aerial Bracket

I plan on cementing this pole into the ground for a caravan. What are the best brackets to use for mounting an aerial onto the pole?

Is it rust proof

Is this pole treated with a rust proof finish, or does it need painting
Asked by: Zeberdeeaaaaa

Can I join 2 of these together? I need a height of 4.5-5 Metres high.

Asked by: Jay76wolf
As per Will60000's answer I cant see any reason physically why not, as they have a "male" and "female" fitting at either end of each section. Only serious consideration would be the weight. A 3m pole (2 x 1.5m sections) weighs about 5Kg so 4.5m pole would be 7.5Kg and 6m pole 10kg approx. You would need to ensure suitable fixing, maybe 2 x brackets set the correct distance apart. I'm not an expert though.
