Rated 5 out of 5 by from A really handy fitting I have used these insert nuts on a variety of furniture and always found them easy to use and provide a string fixing in wood. You do need to be careful not to over tighten as the odd one can break but as there are 50 in a pack this isn't an issue

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kit Really pleased, did the job perfectly. The hex key to install is great compared with slotted screw driver versions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good strong product Great for butt jointing timber. Used these on a chunky mock Tudor rustic mirror project when I didn’t have time to cut draw-bore joints. Perfectly good and strong. Size 8 drill bit and M6 80mm bolts with washers.

Would these work with plasterboard and what size hole should I make before screwing the insert in?

Asked by: Buchl
Hello Buchl, These are for use in MDF and other man made wooden boards unfortunately plasterboard would not hold these inserts in strong enough. Thankyou for using Q&A

How do these fit into the wood (push fit or screwed in)?

Do you hammer these into the wood or use an Allen key to screw them in (the outside doesn't look like a thread)?
Asked by: Beamy
Hello Beamy, These would be screwed in. Thank you for using Q&A

How deep are these? Are they short enough to go into 18mm MDF?

Asked by: KennyThePro

What size pilot hole should I drill?

I am inserting these into scaffold boards and am wondering what size pilot hole I need to drill. Thanks for your help.
Asked by: Anonymous
I asked the manufacturers and they suggest between Ø8.7 and Ø9mm depending on substrate.
