Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pressure gauge garbage The pressure gauge is not as advertised, it’s v cheap with a plastic thread. No o-ring supplied as instructions suggest. Had to fit it regardless. My guess is supplier changed gauge to cheap garbage to save costs, this should be in product description, not the misleading brass fitting shown. I went through 3 of these in store, all had the cheap plastic thread. Recommend you avoid if you need a gauge, chances are with no o ring it’ll face the wall, unreadable! Screwfix - you need to sort this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great brand Can’t go wrong with Honeywell. This valve works so much better than the valve that was already in place, which was a different leading branded product.

Fitting valve

I have a second stopcock tap that isn't really required, would this valve fit in its place? Would it be about the same size?

Installation location

Can this PRV be fitted on the pipe just before the shower (so as to effect the shower only), or should it only be installed where the mains enters the house (affecting all outlets in the house).
Asked by: ChrisFromFleet
The pressure reducing valve is designed to protect household appliances against excessive supply pressures. It can be used on any outlet where you want to reduce the pressure.

Can it be installed horizontally with the gauge facing upwards?

Asked by: ChrisFromFleet
Hello, thank you for your interest in our products. The standard and recommended mounting orientation is horizontal with the spring bonnet pointing upwards. If you need further assistance from our side, please contact our consumer support team by submitting a request on our Livewell HoneywellHome Website. Thank you.

Capacity

Can this valve be fitted to protect the house water system, if it cannot do you have a suitable valve that can. A low side pressure guage would also be a bonus for checking the low side pressure is okay.
Asked by: OldGT
The D04FM pressure reducing valve is designed to protect household appliances against excessive supply pressures. By installing a pressure reducing valve, water consumption can be drastically reduced; water flow noise and over-pressurisation damage is avoided. For multi draw-off and commercial use, the D05 or D06 is recommended. A small compact valve that will maintain a constant water pressure irrespective of the supply pressure, which is often much higher. A certified installer should be contacted in order to properly advise which valve is suitable for your system.

Please what should be the correct pressure to have

Asked by: 2222232405
We cannot advise on the correct pressure as it depends on the application and it is usually determined by the equipment manufacturer.
