Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable product I used EvoHome on stand for couple years but last autumn , during the home renovation and system expands , decide to install the controller on the wall. Unfortunately , over 2 months I notice several occasions , that the controller lost radio connections with receivers, making the smart system ineffective. Over the investigation I found that the transformer located behind the controller create strong magnetic field and badly affect the radio antenna. As only the controller is removed from bracket of 10cm the signal is back to strong. The technical support from Honeywell confirmed that this is the most probable cause for signal interference and best option is to reverse to standing bracket ?! Not worth any money instead all other Honeywell products I have so big disappointment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Honeywell progammer wall mount It is expensive for what it is, my preference is that it would be part of the original kit not an optional accessory. Once fitted however it is a tidy solution and I'm very pleased with how it looks. Simple connection in a 47mm back box just needs L and N connections. Not installed long enough to comment on reliability but time will tell.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fit for purpose Better and neater than the table stand for the Evohome controller. Expensive for what it is!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Check the model you need! Had an Evohome wireless thermostat for about a week before I realised that the table stand was not a good long term solution to keep it powered, as it was top heavy and too easy to knock over or spill something in. Went for the wall mount kit to solve this problem, but also to cover the hole in the wall where the previous thermostat had been (which handily had 230V supply to it as well). However, it isn't immediately obvious, but there are three versions of the Evohome controller and at V3, Honeywell have for some reason, changed the design. This ATF600 model is for version 3, and so didn't fit mine [Vers 2]. Returned to screwfix for a refund with no problem and bought [from elsewhere] the correct ATF300 model. Both are quite expensive in my opinion for what they are, but you don't have many options! In terms of features and performance...its a power supply...it works...that's it. Will have to wait to see if its reliable but has worked for about a month.

Is the transformer protected by a fuse or thermal cutout of any kind?

Asked by: Bignose035

Should the low volage cable be 2 or 3 core?

The transformer can be mounted remotely and a "low voltage cable" run up to 10m to the back plate. I'm guessing this would probably be 2 core, but it would be good to have that clarified.
Asked by: henryvii
As the transformer power cable, the 10m low voltage one also needs to be a 2 core cable.

Can this unit be hard wired in place of existing room stat

Asked by: Anon124
The ATF600 is a hard wired kit. Unfortunately we cannot advise on the wiring of the existing thermostat since we do not know the exact model. We strongly suggest you to contact a certified installer.

What depth of back box is recommended for this product?

Asked by: Tiiv
The evohome Wall Mounting Pack requires a 47 mm deep (plastic) single-gang back box to allow the standard installation of this product. If a back box is not available, the Wall Mounting Pack’s Transformer can be fitted remotely.
