Is this product brushed stainless steel (as it looks on the picture)?

No, it is not stainless steel. It is a lightweight alloy with a finish that looks like a stainless steel colour. And it is not really 37mm wide either, it is a bit less - closer to 35mm I think. I have ordered and used two batches of these and do like them. But the description is not accurate.
