Rated 4 out of 5 by from irritating I ve swapped out some 5 old lights and was happy with the result BUT for the fact one flickered...I ignored it...I swapped mu16 gu 5.3 bulbs and it was not the bulb...I eventually bought a new one to swap it out...the new ones do not have the transformers built in...I suspect the transformer is the problem but Screwfix do not have any tech support so you start looking at the Q&A and that shows it you have a straight swap out and use GU50 no problems but if you go low voltage seems problem is just ahead...BOOM there it is,,,so what transformer do I need,,,no idea...Broadly speaking, it s a hit, they ve been good but if you are an amateur and the pros will laugh at me, rightly so , this is why we need more builders in the country as I m now out of my depth and theres no help to be found! The aurors products on here seem to be for multi bulbs and the cheap one seems to fail a lot so Screwfix are selling tat and subbing out the tech support,,,good news for pros again as they are needed,,,,irritating...

Could I just use as a bezel?

I have a hole which is too big for most standard bezels at 95mm but already have lamp holders. Could I use the bezel of this product with my exsisting lamp holders to covert the hole?
Asked by: Sophieg123
Hello Sophieg123, Yes, the bezel only could be used. Thank you for using Q&A

Do I need a transformer

Do I need to purchase a transformer with this or does it come with it
Asked by: Whytet130
Hello Whytet130, This is just a converter for bezel and holders. Without an existing fitting this product will not work, so if you you have GU5.3 fittings already then this will have a transformer already fitted. If you have GU10's then they do not require a transformer. Thank you for using Q&A

Changing bulbs

would you have to remove the whole bezel and clip from ceiling to change the bulb or is there a twist and remove function?
Asked by: amist
Hello amist, You do not have to remove the bezel. There is a circlip which is removed by squeezing the ends together and then the bulb is removed by twisting slightly in an anti-clockwise direction. Thank you for using Screwfix Q&A.

Can I use an IP65 down light with the outer spacer ring?

Asked by: Stevoooh
Hi Stevoooh, Since the IP65 rating of the downlight would not be compromised, this should be feasible, although this this converter is more than just the outer ring as with some downlight converters. It is a complete light fitting (minus bulbs). Thank you for using Screwfix Q&A.

What is the max. hole size for this light?

The spec. says the product is 140mm diameter but doesn't give the min/max hole size range. What is the max. hole size supported and what is the actual outside diameter of the bezel?
Asked by: ade55
Hello ade55, This product will fit a hole with a cut out diameter from 70-140mm. The overall diameter of the bezel is 150mm. Thank you for using Q&A
