Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ideal for fixing pipe clips to dry lined walls or stud walls, sure they do not fully countersink from about .5mm but i do not see this as a problem for what we are using them . Im half way thru the 200 tub, will be buying again shortly and wont be going back to the metal ones again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Idea - Awful in Reality I had numerous issues with these fixings as mentioned in others negative reviews here. Wouldn't bore into plaster (cutting edge lost quickly). Green insert spins while trying to bore plaster. Doesn't fit flush even with hole drilling assistance. Inner screw length issues. Total waste of money for me. Had to revert to the old metal ones.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless The green core that’s supposed to be there to prevent over tightening, prevents you from being able to fix the outer into the plasterboard, as the friction with the plasterboard is greater than the torque allowable to fit the fixing. If you do manage to get one fitted,.. I used a metal version to create a thread, you should only use the screws provided or shorter ones as they cannot be screwed through the fixing (there is no exit for the tip of the screw). GripIt have some great fixings, these are not one of them!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No good for skimmed walls For plane or simply painted plaster board they work fine but they don't cope well with a couple of mm of finishing plaster skim which is, of course, a much more common situation. They won't drill and cut through the harder finishing plaster and the torque clutch stops them turning. They can be put into skimmed walls but this requires drilling with two sizes of drill; an 8 to 10 mm one to begin with and then a larger counter sinker. Another problem is that they don't lie flush but about half a mm proud. Another problem is that a lot of the other products on the market come with an applicator tool which is essentially a long metal blade that controls the direction of the fixing as it is put in. With this, you put it in with a flat or Philips screwdriver bit but it doesn't control the direction of the fixing at all well. This is not an issue when putting them into simple plasterboard but is a complete menace when trying to go through a hard skim. Furthermore they're quite expensive. One star might be a bit harsh as they are good for simple plasterboard but there's nothing in the description that says they shouldn't be used on skimmed walls and if you try you need a lot of drills and in my experience you break quite a few of them working out how to do it.
