Pergola
Arrived in good time. Price was cheapest on internet I could find. Went up easy. Spacing measurements need to be checked as instructions were not accurate. Timber was reasonably straight. Few cracks but this should be expected with any timber like this

Pergola
Bought the Forest Ultimate pergola 2.7 x 2.7. The quality was shocking. Every post was twisted and all had large cracks in them, the beams were warped and one was bent. The quality was very poor, so much so that I sent it back for a refund. Still awaiting my money back.

Bad quality and cracking
I bought this and in two weeks time, I saw cracks coming in. In a couple of weeks I could see the other side through the cracks and feels like it's really bad quality.
I am still struggling on getting a refund/ replacement. Avoid this at all costs

Pergola Value
I erected the pergola last week so can't speak about its longevity but it seems very robust and solid. I put it up by myself (an OAP) and that was a a bit of a struggle - 2 people would make it much easier.(It does say this in the instructions!) I thought the wood frame well constructed - I didn't have the issues with the quality of the wood the previous reviewer expressed. It was fine - yes a couple of cracks in the wood but only surface features and only to be expected. The value was great - £100 cheaper than I could find elsewhere for the exactly the same kit.

Cracked and twisted timbers.
Some customers in their reviews report Cracked, Split and or Twisted timbers. What does screwfix do to replace timbers that are not of merchantable (good) quality ?

Up right posts, different information given.
In one answer to the question the upright size is given as 90mm x 90mm. Then in another 95mm x 95mm. Which is correct? As this will affect the order of bolt down post support size.
Asked by: Gbzvt
Gbzvt - good morning and apologies for any confusion. I can confirm that the uprights are 95mm x 95mm.

Can this stand on a paved patio?
If so does it need fixing to the patio and how should it be fixed?
Asked by: TimJessop
Hi, we would always recommend securing freestanding structures to the ground in which they are positioned. Bolt down "MetPosts" would be a good solution to this. Thanks, Forest
