Not the greatest
not great value. arrived missing half of the parts. Forest Garden who supplied the base were disinterested and failed to deliver the missing bits for over a week. Had to go and buy extra screws/brackets/spikes etc in order to build it on time, needed a lot of extra strengthening to be effective. Just buy some timber and screws and save yourself some money.

not worth half the price
You get a few pieces of softwood and some metal brackets/spikes. Should cost a fraction of the actual cost.
I put it together and when banging into the soft ground (garden) it all started to come apart.
Very disappointed in this product.

Shed Size for this base
Hi will this fit with the 8X6 Forest Shed on the screw fix website.
I assume this shed base should be purchased notwithstanding the shed itself has a base.

What size shed fits on this base?
would a 7 x 7' shed sit on this, or is it too small?
Asked by: Ann605
Good Morning, thank you for your recent enquiry. Please be advised that a 7' x 7' shed is not suitable to be placed on a 6' x 8' Shed Base with Metal Spikes. Regards, Colin Price

Does this sit directly onto soil, or is additional groundwork required?
Once built, with a floor and stuff on the floor (shelves/tools) what stops the corners from sinking further into the soil?
On a related note, what is the recommended max load per square metre of the floor?
Asked by: 54297n
The spikes need to be able to be driven into the ground, but the area can be quite rough and uneven and the base will be ideal if you are unable to use pavers, concrete or a decked area. If the soil is very light or heavy items going inside of the shed you could use post mix around the spikes to avoid sinking.

Infill
Would I need to add gravel to fill in the gaps of this base?
Asked by: Nellyflower
Thank you for your enquiry. Gravel is not required for this style of shed base which can be used on uneven ground and therefore often raised off the ground.
