Apalling Screwfix Response
I have two of these, ordered another one from Screwfix for delivery direct from Forest. Tufnells driver dragged it from the van up the drive, wearing away the corner of two pieces. On unpacking one piece was missing and one of the longer lengths was nearly banana shaped. All the shorter end pieces were not fully cut out, obviously no QA on this product. Forest replaced all damaged bits no problem. The worst bit is that two emails to Screwfix CS have been completely ignored, appalling service. I know the product is sent direct from Forest but at the end of the day my contract is with Screwfix.

Not so sure
Very poor quality product of very simple construction which is grossly over priced for what you are getting

Worth the cost.
I purchased 2 of these for my garden, they were quick and easy to assemble. Well made and have totally transformed the garden. I like that people have commented on them saying how lovely they are, can we make some for them. I then had to tell them where we got them from.

What does "no base" mean, do I need a liner?
Asked by: BigBuster
"No base" means the planter does not have a "bottom" / "floor". In terms of linear, as the wood has been pressure treated then no not necessary.

Forest FOREST RECTANGULAR CALEDONIAN RAISED BED 1800 X 450 X 450MM (1652K) - do these raised beds have liners that can be bought separately?
Asked by: MereDIY
MereDIY, I am not aware of specific liners being made for the Caledonian Range of planters, However, lining material can be purchased in rolls for attaching to the planter sides.

can you explain the 'no base'?
hi, can you clarify what the 'no base' means? It's just open to the ground? Thanks
Asked by: lynds
lynds, yes I can confirm that this planter has no floor. One can be added by simply attaching strips of timber to the bottom.
