Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless Using the correct size drill bit, they are loose and just pull straight out of the wall. The part that is meant to splay out just breaks off. Completely useless and certainly not heavy duty by any stretch of the imagination.

Would these be suitable to fix a tv bracket to a plaster board wall?

No these would not be suitable. If you can't screw straight into the stud then use the Gripit fixings (371HP)

Lights

are these suitable for hanging a light fitting from a ceiling, bit confused what to use

I believe those heavy duty fixing are an overkill for fitting lamps, unless they are vintage cast iron ones. Try the LDF model - it will be more than suitable.

What is the max weight these will hold safely?

Each fixing will hold around 4kgs into 12.5mm plasterboard. For higher loads, up to 15kgs, please see the Duopower 6 - Screwfix part no. 1820P

Will these work for hanging curtain poles

Will these work on a dot n dab modern house plasterboard wall ? What's the best fixings for hanging curtain poles on these style of walls . Metal rawl plugs just pulling plaster out . Don't thing rawl plug will give a solid fixing ?

Thanks for your Enquiry. The HDF might work , however you need enough room behind the plasterboard to allow them to sit flush. You also need to make sure that the screw does not bottom out on the masonry behind, so you will need to drill a clearance hole to accommodate the screw.
