Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great small fire extinguisher Got this for our small outbuilding just in case , it’s comes complete with fixing bracket and has a pressure gauge to indicate that it would still work in the months to come, it’s also a great price for the quality of the kit and will give piece of mind should anything ever happen, great product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy bit of kit Nice and compact fire extinguisher perfect to keep with your soldering kit for any emergencies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy size Bought for the car emergency kit. Handy size and should be fine for the size of fire I'm prepared to go near. Any vehicle fire that needs more than this is already to hot to get safely close to IMHO. Cheap enough that I'll probably buy another just in case. Can't comment on how reliable or effective is as I hope never to use it. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fire extinguisher Good priced entry level fire extinguisher. Good wall mounting included. Have been asked to fit a few of these by landlords.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems just what we need Difficult to review, particularly its performance, and I hope we don't have to find out! However, it looks a good compromise between the smallest "kitchen" extinguishers, and the larger models, at a good price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dealt well with fire. We had a fire in one of our machines. Flames were about two foot high and heat was starting to get to flash point (small workshop). Lucky we got to it in time and two short bursts from the extinguisher put the flames out. Dry powder is messy so a lot of cleaning up but that is not an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and a safety must Brought this to use in our new motorhome. Don't think you can be without one and this is excellent value, easy to install/fit and hopefully we won't have to use it. But it's there if we do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality and affordable Bought this to keep in my summerhouse where I've installed a log burner, don't anticipate I'll use it but thought it was a good product at a good price for piece of mind. The fire extinguisher is nice and compact and comes with its own mounting bracket, so it's easily concealed out of view, but easy to access. I cannot comment on performance as haven't needed to use and hopefully won't ever have to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product - but.... Great product, excellent price and availability..but 'Click and collect' doesn't work well at my local store. Waited at the collection point and was ignored for a few minutes. Moved to the order desk and was served immediately. I believe a re-think (or a sign or two) is necessary. That's the only downside for me!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fire extinguisher Bought as a safeguard for potential electrical fires in the kitchen (e.g. Fridge freezer). Not used and hopefully never will be. Taught my daughters how to use it in the event of fire- simple operation. Not possible to rate performance and reliability until used.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lowest Prices at Screwfix The product has not yet been used fortunately, so I have no idea how it will perform, however the price was right at Screwfix so that is where I purchased it. The Fire Extinguisher has a pressure gauge so you can tell if it is still ready to use. It feels quite heavy, so I think there is plenty of powder in the Extinguisher and it has a well made robust mounting bracket which I have used to attach it to the wall. I actually bought two of these, one for the garage and one to keep in a Classic Car I have in the garage. It suits both purposes well and was the best price I could find in any of the DIY stores on the High Street. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality Extinguisher They certainly look the part and feel like they have been well made. Easy to mount using brackets supplied. I bought one for downstairs and one for upstairs. Cant give more than 3* for 'Reliabilty' or 'Performance' as fortunately I have not had to use them, but the peace of mind they offer just knowing they are there by far outweighs the small cost. Screwfix team Chesterfield (Derby Rd) were amazing, quick and helpful...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks solid enough... Just purchased, looks solid enough, but not tried it yet, perhaps once the girlfriend is sleeping...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal car/MPV size.... Bought this to replace the one I've been carrying in my MPV for years. It was actully a lot cheaper than getting the old one recharged and just on half the price the DiY motoring stores charge for the same size. This is a very effective size and I'd happily recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must Purchased for a caravan that is rented to the public. Fortunately it's not had to be used as yet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must in every home Great size and good value. I would recommend every home to have at least one, get them before you need them. It's got a good fixing but just as easily sits on the floor. Purchased one for upstairs and one downstairs after a recent fire in the kitchen highlighted the need for them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for vans etc Great size for putting into the work vans giving peace of mind should it be required. Comes with handy bracket as well. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent We fit these in the cabs of our 16 tonne forklifts, space to mount is at a premium due to the high proportion of glass. However these do the job. Compact, high quality & a competitively priced makes it an obvious first choice.

What are the dimensions of this extinguisher?

Height, Width & Depth
Asked by: Lewis2

Do these expire ?

Wanting to store in caravan will these expire if not used
Asked by: Michellec8683
To remain in date for insurance purposes they would require an annual check by a qualified professional. However, the cost of an annual check (around £25) outways the cost of replacing them annually.

how do you get the extinguisher recharged

Asked by: Anonymous

what is total height and width of the 1kg dry powder extinguisher 5534H

we wish to replace existing extinguishers and the brackets are already in situ. The model we were looking for appears to be discontinued (Omega 1000 Fireblitz extinguisher 312mmx110mm).
