Installation

Do these units have to be installed by a qualified electrician or can a competent DIY'er install them.
Asked by: Gazza1240
Thank you for your question. These alarms are very easy to install and set up, and they do not require connecting to Mains Electricity. Therefore you won't need the services of a qualified electrician. Full instructions are included.

Can you link these unit together

Can you link these unit together? Are they linked wireless and what is the range. I assume that the alarms go off in all units if one call point is depressed. Does the system confirm to L3 installation?
Asked by: PMEA
Thank you for your question. Yes, they can be wirelessly linked together, and the range will depend on the installation site itself, whether there are walls/structures between each unit, or if they are in open areas. Rule of thumb is approximately 200m in open areas. All alarms will sound if one call point is pressed. These units could be used in an L3 installation, subject to site inspection and approval by a qualified Alarm Design Engineer.
