If any defects become apparent during the guarantee period, then you would be due a free replacement. Please note, that if the blanket were to be used in a Fire Event at any time, then it would need discarding and replacing. The Fire Industry Association guidance recommends replacement after 7 years. Thank for your question. You have raised a very valid point - it is certainly important to ensure that the fixing used to hang the blanket on is securely fastened to the surface from which it hangs. We do not specify a particular fixing because there are multiple materials and conditions in which the blanket hanging screw or hook could be used. In any case, you can test the functionality and security of the hook by mounting the blanket case on the hook in question, and pull down on the tabs to ensure the blanket comes out of the casing without damage to the mounting kit. There are re-folding instructions on the back of the blanket in view of re-inserting the blanket to its case ready for use.
