Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy bigger The resin and hardener doesn't have the separation widget that the 380ml has. Although it can be used with a standard mastic gun the two parts extruded separately. Not as much confidence in the final mix. Recommend the larger size but need to purchase the gun.

Can resin fixings be used on brick as well as concrete?

I am installing new garage doors and I find that Easyfix M10 throughbolts do not grip the brick walls satisfactorily. The 1905-era bricks are not as hard as some modern ones and I worry that I may get slippage with resin fixings as well. Please advise.
Asked by: WonderWarthog
Hello, We have no data on this being suitable for bricks, you may wish to conduct a small test to see how it holds up. Thanks for using Q&A.

Is this resin suitable to hold a intercom system on a pedestal in Tarmac?

audio intercom system requires bolting down into Tarmac. Need to find best securing solution.
Asked by: ComeUndone
Hello ComeUndone I've spoken to the manufacturer of this resin and they've advised it would not be suitable for Tarmac. Tarmac is a problematic substrate to fix into because it has a tendency to crumble and there are a lot of voids. This Resin also generates a lot of heat when it cures which melts the tarmac as well. The best advice they could suggest is that if there's concrete below the tarmac then you should drill into that and affix there. Thank you for using Q&A (CW)
