Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product First time using concrete screws and really impressed with the ease and strength these have. Used to screw large trellis to a brick wall. So much faster and simpler than rawplugs - Predrilled the timber with 6mm wood bit then held in place and went through wood and into wall with 6mm masonry bit - then screwed without moving timber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Takes it to a new level Saw a window installer use these and bought a pack. Use the right masonry drill (I used 6.5mm as used by window installer rather than the recommended 6mm) and you've got a strong attachment into brick and block in minimal time. I'll be using these from now for a range of heavy duty wall/floor fixings. Torx head allows driving in through tough materials using high torque setting. Only drawback is that they are pricey, but the time saving more than compensates.

Suitable for concrete slabs?

I need to attach metal box type post holders to slabbed area to errect garden fence. Would these be usable into a 55mm thick concrete slab? I assume suitable pilot hole will need to be drilled. My worry is a risk of the slab cracking.
Asked by: BuzzerBuzz
Hello BuzzerBuzz, A slightly smaller pilot drill would be required before the screw, this will prevent the slab from cracking. Thank you for using Q & A. DC
