Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for Retail Workers. I bought these as I was fed up of going through the knees in work trousers. They are light to wear, hard-wearing and great value. Enough pockets to carry the mountains of rubbish that fill the trousers of a retail manager. Remembering to empty them all before washing is the key. Good product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from compared to Site trousers I bought ‘Site’ and ‘Dickies’ work trousers at the same time to compare the merits of both. The first thing to say is that both products were manufactured to a high standard and both in my opinion were good value for money. The first thing of note is the length, measured from the waste band to the end of the leg the ‘Site’ trousers are a good 15mm longer than the ‘Dickies’. The extra length was not in the leg length. The ‘Dickies’ trousers have 7 zipped pockets, none of which I can get my hand fully in to. The normal forward facing side pockets start with a zipped pocket, over which is a standard open pocket, over which there is an additional zipped pocket, very poor idea! The knee protectors are loaded from below the knee and do not retain the protectors very well. This is of no consequence since when kneeling down the trouser leg rides up so much that the protectors are too high for the knee. Another point about zipped pockets, if you rolling around on someone’s polished floor or squeezing past kitchen units take care, you may be leaving scratches. The ‘Site’ trousers have ‘Hook and Loop’ to one rear pocket and one thigh pocket the other rear pocket and both side pockets are open. All pockets are large enough to get your hands in comfortably. The knee protectors are loaded from above the knee and are retained in the correct position when kneeling, the trouser leg does not move up as much as the ‘Dickies’ when sitting or kneeling. Only criticism of the ‘Site’ trouser is there is only one thigh pocket. ‘Dickies’ trousers are good but not as good as ‘Site’. ‘Site’ are also a pound or two cheaper.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor quality I've been using Dickies work trousers for a good few years and needed a new pair. These were not the same as I'd had before as many of the pockets have zip fastenings, this may be OK to stop stuff falling out, but otherwise, not very practical. Front thigh pockets are very small indeed, can't even fit your hands in them! During their first use, I noticed that the fly zip appeared to have come unstitched, but checking later, I see that the zip had just not been stitched at all on the one side! Being as I'd worn them and they were now dirty, I assume that Screwfix won't take them back, plus it's another journey when we're not supposed to be going out at all. I'll be repairing these myself, but am really unhappy with this level of quality.
