Rated 1 out of 5 by from AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Weve had several industrial pressure washes over 10 years so no issues with power or water flow. First DeWalt dxpw unit popped 2 fuses and produced no pressure. 2nd unit arrived box undamaged but pump casing broken. 3rd unit same as the first. Wasted nearly Two weeks back and forth. Cant complain about customer service at Screwfix but very frustrating! BTW very noisy compared to our last Karcher so have bought the KARCHER HD pro 400..Dont normally bother reviewing but will do so when its up and running.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Concerns on this product I had high hopes of this pressure washer, being DeWalt. Regrettably it blew the plug fuse as soon as I switched it on and then immediately blew a second fuse. The third fuse held and I used the washer for cleaning the patio - which it did a good job. On the following day the same thing occurred again. I then continued with cleaning some pathways without further problems. I expect the in-rush current on switch on was near to the 13A fuse limit. I think Screwfix should look into this. Otherwise the product worked very well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I really wouldn't bother Well where do I start? The first one delivered popped the fuse when plugged in for the first time. Changed the fuse and it worked for 2minutes and then lost all pressure, returned and another one ordered. The second one the case around the washer was cracked on opening. Returned and another one ordered. The third one they sent the wrong model so sent back and another one ordered. The fourth one I plugged it in and it popped the fuse again, changed the fuse and tried it. There was no pressure at all, so returned for a refund as I was getting fed up by now. The service from the Warrington branch staff and manager was excellent and I think they were getting a bit fed up. I expected a quality product first time around but Dewalt failed. Dewalt make good tools and I've never had a problem with anything before.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful. A recommendation rather than a review. If you want a dainty, flashy pressure washer with all the bells and whistles, then this is not the one for you. Conversely, if you have checked the spec', looked at the price and wondered how do you get a 31kg unit with those parts and that flow rate for that price, then read on. Branded as DeWalt but is actually made by AR, an established Italian manufacturer of these machines with a reputation for quality products and if DeWalt had made this item I wouldn't have bought it, it's not their 'bag'. Okay, review time. First machine worked briefly, coughed and spluttered and along with a feint cloud of blue smoke, expired. Gutted, but returned it to Screwfix, Leigh, Lancs. after 3pm and was not interrogated by the staff, one of whom even carried the item from my van. I was surprised to hear that I would receive a new machine for 12 pm the next day. 11:30am text arrived to inform me to come and get it. Obviously I was very wary and dreaded another failure. At this point I would add that a week prior I had purchased a Nilfisk E-145 online and had returned this machine as it had failed. The blue one was £60 less, but I would say the difference in real terms is far greater. It's failure was due to flimsy plastic fittings failing on the HP side of the system and can now say the replacement DeWalt would pummel the Nilfisk into oblivion in the arena of robot wars. Well it worked very, very well. It is a beast in terms of bulk, but it's 31kg of engine, as it were. There's no reel, there's no detergent tank, there's no collection of accessories either. There is a very sturdy, well weighted lance, the trigger assembly is tough plastic whilst the actual lance is metal, polished with proper brass connections that cleverly connect the lance and trigger together without any tool needed. The lance is angled at the end which is another thoughtful addition. The hose is comparable to the pneumatic hose on the air and water machines you find on petrol station forecourts. 8 metres long and very durable but it does have a will of its own and will frustrate those who would like to use all 8 metres. The connections on both ends of the hose are metal and will not fail. Where the hose connects to the machine you will find another brass connector which accepts the hose connector and can be tightened completely with fingers. Undone as well but remember to release the pressure by pulling the trigger when supply is off. The mains (water) connection has a clear plastic filter that is fitted first and then the hose. It does seem a little loose but does not leak and is quality plastic much better than certain hoze connectors. Plugged in, water and power, everything connected, but what's this? There is a large plastic knob/wheel that is to be fitted to the machine, just shove it in the hole, and this is to regulate the pressure that is output. Wind it out to lower, wind it in to increase. Very simple, very analogue just like me. Wind it right out for start, pull the trigger in and switch on! Flippin' heck! Is that it? Well it hadn't set on fire and after a short while I cranked it up to full pressure and pulled the trigger. Wow, that's what I was looking for. Newton said something about equal and opposite reaction, well this kicks back. I am not a weakling, but I cannot maintain any reasonable accuracy with one hand as my neighbour will agree. Very happy with performance which is what I bought it for. There is an adjustable nozzle on the lance, from fan to beam, which works well too. Minutiae would be, good- it's rectangular, no curves, so whilst having sizeable footprint you can pile stuff on top of it and it won't fall off when stowed away. Bad- it's not neighbour friendly in terms of noise. Not too bad below 3/4 pressure but quite loud when cranked up. Finally, although advertised as 160 Bar, the label on the machine reads max pressure 130, normal pressure 120. Wheels are adequate and it's still working a fortnight on.
