Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool What a great tool. A must have when renovating/developing a house. Powerful, sturdy, cuts with ease. Does not cause your hands to wobble even after a prolonged use. Used this to cut out old joists, soffit, fascias and gutter. No issues with cutting through embeded nails. Might seem expensive, but you get what you pay for!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very powerful saw...unreliable Great saw when new, very powerful, but always having problems with them. The guards always snap, and the contact terminals wear thin very quickly. We have a lot of these saws and they don’t last 6 months before we have to send them back to Dewalt for repair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big but powerful I found this saw to be very powerful, cutting through materials with ease. It has lot less vibration than the compact version, making much easier to use for long periods. Because its more powerful saw, it is heavier - basically requires two hands to use. This is not a bad thing, but something to bare in-mind, as the compact version can be used one-handed. In the flexvolt version you can only put the blade in two positions, unlike the compact 4 positions. I would say this is a good saw if you need to cut many things unlike the compact which is good for occasional cutting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No batteries & no charger Although the manufacturer supplies this tool with both a charger and a battery (as described in their accompanying booklet), you will need to understand what bare means in the title and read in the specification that the number of batteries supplied is zero. This tells you (but not me) that Screwfix have removed the battery and charger - there was a second pieces of tape placed over the original to seal the packaging and part of the packaging shows a clear imprint of the battery. Apparently this has not been done so that they can sell you these items separately but because of the customer demand for cordless tools without batteries. I would have thought that using one battery for all of your tools means that when this goes flat, all are useless but what do I know?
