Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great Bought this 2 days ago so not yet able to comment on reliability but it certainly feels robust and solid. The appears hard to fault. It is light and easy to use, with lots of power. I purchased it to enable me to stop changing drill bits and counter-sinkers from the drill I currently have when making small items such as wooden toys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant drill Only bought it today so cannot comment on reliability but it certainly feels robust and solid. The drill is hard to fault. It is light and easy to use, with oodles of power. I just don't have anything bad to say about it. It is replacing an old Black & Decker 18v NiCad Firestorm and it was immediately obvious how drill technology has improved in the last 10 years or so.

Why does Dewalt not recognise this drill for the 3 year warranty?

Are these batteries genuine dewalt batteries

These 3AH batteries don't seem to be listed on the dewalt website. Are they genuine dewalt batteries or a cheaper version.

How do you keep 3A batteries ‘healthy’ if only using intermittently?

Will the batteries deteriorate if not used and re-charged for say 6 months then used regularly again? If using in summer months only should I consider only using one battery and keeping one as a spare to use in a few years when the first battery dies?
