It's a bit o' pipe...
Used to fix sleepers together - drill hole, hammer in pipe.
Never used it as conduit, but it's an excellent source of galvanized piping, wardrobe rail, etc...

Cheap wardrobe rail!
Bought this to make a temporary clothes rail - worked out perfect and a lot less expensive and stronger than the purpose made rails.
