Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TRV and great price. Got this to replace a leaking standard radiator valve. Drained system, removed old valve, cut off old olive carefully with a junior hacksaw. New valve has 10mm pipe olive this fitted easily onto the old pipe and locked in place really well. Refilled system and leak free. 30 minutes start to finish. Well pleased.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 15/10mm I bought these to replace standard wheelhead valves on a 10mm central heating system but there is nothing in the description to indicate these are for a 15mm system but are supplied with 10mm reducers - which would be fine in a new install. As I already have nuts and olives on the 10mm pipe and do not want to modify or risk damaging the pipework already in place I can't use these valves. It would have been helpful if the description had mentioned this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality product, easy to fit I bought these to replace two older TRVs, based on recommendations. They were easy to fit, though one had rather rough threads which made it a little harder to tighten up, work either on inlet or outflow if required, easy to adjust (including the ability to shut off completey as well as set to frost-free), and came with adapters for 8mm and 10mm pipe as well as a standard olive. They've been in use for a week and perform flawlessly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Danfoss TRV These are great TRVs. Reversible flow, so can be positioned either side of the radiator. The 10mm reducer can be replaced with an olive for 15 mm pipes if required. Good value for money and extremely reliable.

Why don't the bean counters at Danfoss just stick a 15mm olive in the box?

Asked by: LordLongden

8 / 10 mm "olive" which way round??

The "universal" brass telescopic "olive" can be fitted either way round. It fits well in both cases, but slightly projects through the female nut one way round. Which way is correct, please?
Asked by: Crosschris
Hi, the correct way would be to fit it so the olive is not projecting from the compression nut.

How do you remove the plastic thermostat top from the metal fitting?

Asked by: RalphyJingle
Hi, There wll be a grey ribbed ring at the bottom of the plastic TRV sensor, you can either turn that or the white smooth ring directly above it anti-clockwise. Once loosened you can pull the sensor off.
