Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job I bought this to put in the Kicthen and downstairs bathroom where the signal is not that good, easy to install had trouble connecting it gave up after 20 mins phone the helpline they had sorted me out within 8 mins looks good and works perfectly now I can use my phone while on the shutter without worry about losing connection. Buying one for upstairs in white which is cheaper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality product that works I bought this extender to try and improve the signal in our newly built Orangery without really much hope of it being very successful but worth a try, after all, if it didn’t work I could always take it back. What a revalation! We were absolutely amazed a) How easy it was to set up and b) How easy it was to pair two iPhones that worked immediately and signal strength is far superior to the ugly Extender our broadband provider gave us when our lounge signal was poor. We’re getting full strength signal in the previous dead spots and in the lounge, in fact it is far quicker on the internet than we have had for a couple of years. This is a great product, if you need a boost to your WiFi, don’t go cheap, spend a bit more and be completely satisfied, can’t recommend it highly enough.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from brilliant IF it worked can only place it where you get at least half the reception which is fair enough BUT what they don't tell you is that feedback causes it to fail, will will have to reset your router to lower the firewall, place their device on the white list and lower the treat settings to minimum which means you'll have to call the service provider to set it all up again, allow for say 4 hours and a ton of swearing. As you might have guessed i wish i hadn't bothered as it still does't work

Colour of inserts

According to this web-site SKU 626FG has graphite inserts but the packet states that the inserts are grey. Which colour are they? I am waiting for matching switched sockets to come into stock!

Hi SeasideKOS, Graphite is a shade of grey, and BG only uses one grey colour for inserts across our ranges so they will match no problem.

Does the USB socket use electricity while there is nothing plugged into it? Thanks.

Hi Denvoak, When there is nothing being charged the USB transformer circuit drops to a low-power stand-by mode which draws less than 75mW (or <0.000075 kW/h chargeable consumption), which is far lower than any plug-in type charger that we are aware of.

Hi PhilGrett, We have no known incompatibilities based on service provider, it is just worth bearing in mind that the extender is for 2.4GHz signals specifically as these have a longer range to begin with than their 5GHz counterparts.

How far can these be fitted from the router ?

Hi Wolvesaywe, The key point is incoming signal strength, the extender circuit needs at least 50% Wi-Fi strength from the router in order to remain connected reliably, but different routers can achieve this different ranges, and this can further be affected by features of the building which they are installed in.
