Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad Just average in my opinion. It’s handy and very neat. I don’t think it performs outstandingly well. I installed it on the back kitchen wall which on the other side is a ring floodlight cam. Considering the distance between them is probably 9 feet through a wall I did expect better. Happy enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good Waiting for the electrician to install it , so not tried it as yet. However I did several price comparisons and based on the other reviews this was the best buy. I ordered online and collected from store. Service was great so overall a very smooth transaction.

Can these sockets be used to daisy chain off each other?

I want to boost my customers WiFi all over the house. Can these sockets boost the signal to the next socket and that socket to the next?
Asked by: Fish82
Hi Fish82, No they have not been designed for multiple units in the same network, but then at roughly 15m range in all directions from the socket you would need a much larger than average sized home to need more than one anyway.

Blue light staying solid , why ?

So after 2 weeks with this socket my devices have lost connection and the blue light is staying solid despite me trying to re set it. I have pressed the wi fi button in for 5-30 seconds and it will not turn amber or flash
Asked by: Mark069
Hi Mark069, Sounds like it may have had a software crash, a hard reset (cutting power to it for 30-60 seconds) should bring it back on as if it is the first time it has been installed, so it _will_ need re-pairing to the router. If it doesn't work when it comes back on though there may be a component issue internally.

Keeps flashing blue

I’ve connected the socket ‘successfully’ twice now through the QR code and web browser but it keeps flashing blue?
Asked by: lewis99999
Hi Lewis99999, Thanks for your message, i'm very sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. The blue flashing light indicates the socket has returned to pairing mode, so there may be an issue with communicating with your router. For further assistance, please get in touch with us on 01952 238 128 and speak to one of our support agents. Kind Reagrds, BG Technical Team

Sky broadband router

Hi. Would this wifi booster work in conjunction with the Sky broadband router 4.2? Ive heard because it’s a mesh system then Sky make it difficult for anything other than their boosters to work with their hub. Thanks
Asked by: Holophyte
Hi Holophyte, We don't have any direct experience with Sky broadband routers, but if they _are_ operating a Mesh system then that would make an incompatibility with our extenders possible as they have not been designed for such systems.

5GHz connections

It looks like my wifi is 5GHz rather than 2.4GHz. Could this product improve the wifi in dead spots on a 5GHz connection?
Asked by: GLMT
Hi GLMT, 2.4GHz is the base, original frequency for Wi-Fi signals, which all routers should be able to broadcast on for compatibility with legacy products (it also has better range overall than 5GHz) although some may be factory set with the 2.4GHz signal turned down or off completely, but this should be adjustable within the router control interface (supplied instructions should tell you how to access this). You should have two possible solutions to choose between once in the control system, either splitting the two frequencies into separate signals or temporarily disabling the 5GHz signal whilst you connect the extender socket to the clean 2.4GHz transmission.
