Drill size

Should I use a No10 drill for a No10 screw (for hardwood) or does the drill size need to be smaller for a tighter fit?
Asked by: DH56
Hello DH56. If you need the screw to actually bite into the wood then you will need to use a smaller bit. Hope that helps. Thank you for using Q&A. MH
