Rated 5 out of 5 by from Challenging installation It is an absolute achievement to have fitted this door as per the previous reviews. As other reviewers said, fitting involved holding the side supports in place and marking and drilling the holes and inserting the rawlplugs for the screws. Then assistance is needed to lift the door with side panels in place to get it in situ, which in our case involved lubrication of the lower tiles with washing up liquid to get it to slide into place, as the door is heavy even with two people supporting it and pushing it is tricky. The long screws provided could not be used as it was impossible to insert them in the gap left and even using smaller ones was quite a challenge to get them tightened. once these obstacles are overcome the door itself looks good and works well. Just as well given the effort involved in fitting it!!. The instructions provided, while containing lots of diagrams were not used apart from the checklist of contents to make sure all parts were present before starting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from COMMON SENSE NEEDED ALL IS GOOD, YOU WILL NEED TO BE A VERY GOOD DIY, er TO INSTALL THIS. SCREWING THE WALL PLATE ON THE HINGE DOOR SIDE WILL BE INTERESTING AND NEED SOME IMAGINATION, YOU CAN NOT GET TO THE SCREWS WITH A NORMAL DRIVER.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Why? Overall the door is of good quality. Our plumber fitted it so I can't comment on the difficulties reported by the other reviewers.... However the question is why the silly hinge arrangement? (Which you can't see very well in the pictures). With unequal doors it means the door takes more room in the shower cubicle to open and close. Our shower cubicle is as small as the door will go and to close it when inside is a bit tight. It takes about 60mm more than a standard bi fold would take... Not a lot but when space is tight anyway.... Don't know about reliability yet... I wouldn't recommend it for a small cubicle but where space isn't tight then it's fine...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for the faint hearted OK, first things first: this is quite a nice door once fitted. That’s where the good news stops: fitting it is a different matter, as already documented by previous reviewers. If you’re a plumber or similar, and have fitted doors previously, you’ll probably be fine, as you won't even open the instructions, and will just use common sense – this will work fine. However… if you’re never done one before, like me, you’ll look at the instructions, and lose all hope. Honestly, after decades of trying to decipher badly written Chinglish instructions for everything from computers to MFI wardrobes, and being generally pretty good at this sort of thing, I was almost in tears with this one. The trouble is, there ARE no real instructions in the quite thick manual which comes with the shower – just a series of bewildering pictures, using indecipherable symbols you’ve never seen before, covered with exclamation marks which suggest dire warnings if you get it wrong, but with no hint as to what they’re referring to. So I tried to visit the website shown on the front of the manual – it doesn't exist. Google got me to a completely different Aqualux website, and I emailed them asking for help – they didn’t bother to respond. I phoned them, and the guy I spoke to tried to help, but didn’t have a copy of the instructions, and had absolutely no idea what the symbols meant either. However, he got one of their “engineers” (I think shower installation guys) to call me – he was very helpful, and actually had the instructions on him. However, he hadn’t a clue what the symbols meant either, so even one of their own experts can’t understand them. This is unacceptable. As a previous reviewer said, but in different words – hold each side profile up in turn to where it’s going to go, using a spirit level, and mark the holes for the screws. Screw the right hand one to the wall. Press the left hand one fully onto the door, and manoeuvre the door into place, pressing it fully into the right hand profile. Then you can screw the left hand profile to the wall, which leaves JUST enough space to get the left hand side of the door into that; then drill and fix the final screws. Note: the door is heavy, and the places where you’ll naturally grip it easy to deform as you apply a fair bit of force to move it. I am 6’1”, and pretty strong, and I really struggled. If you’re not fit, or a bit on the short side, you may find it really challenging to lift and manipulate the door without bending its edges, scratching your shower tray etc.

Will this product be suitable for a gap of 725mm. As it says it's a 760mm size with a 20mm adjustment for out of parallel walls. My walls are parallel so I just need a door for 725mm. If this door does fit how do I reduce width from 760mm down to size.

Asked by: Haveago8
Hello, thank you for your enquiry. Our products are able to adjusted down or up by 20mm. This can reduce down to 740mm. It would be a case of pushing it in slighlty, this would work for a couple mm. I hope this helps
