Aico EI144RC Mains & Battery-Powered Heat Alarm (237FP)

Mains-powered alarm with a 9V alkaline battery back-up with a thermistor that triggers when the temperature of 58ºC is reached. Ideal for use in kitchens and garages, where the use of smoke alarms may lead to unwanted nuisance alarms. Supplied with an Easi-fit base to make it quick and simple to install. The alarm may be hardwire interconnected with other Aico alarms with the RadioLINK feature.

Suitable replacement

We need a replacement for a EI154TL in a kitchen which has started to beep. This is hard wired to a smoke alarm in the hallway of the same make. Would the EI 144RC be suitable?

Hi Mark, Yes, the Ei144RC is a heat alarm and can be replaced Ei154TL model. The main difference would be battery back up. Ei144RC will have replaceable battery back up. If you would like the same, rechargeable battery back up unit, the you would need Ei3014.

Is there a compatible model that can be linked wirelessly to this model

Hello, The Ei144RC will have to be upgraded with Ei168RC baseplate to make it RF interlinkable unit. If you are looking for battery only RF smoke alarms, then it would be Ei650RF model.

Red light constantly flashing

After installation red light is constantly flashing /blinking. Green light is on so mains power is ok Tested and horn is working but red light is blinking all the time not like it should ever 40 second I will appreciate any help

Hi Jay, You have most likely have Neutral wire affected somewhere. It can be that is just a loos connection in this base plate. If you would turn mains power off, does the red light stop flashing? if so, you would need to check wiring.
