Rated 2 out of 5 by from Design needs working on. Bought and used within a day, the instructions are poor, far too small, just one item I have not worked out where it goes yet. Long screw with a black plastic nut on the end. I don`t like the locking system for holding the wood in place, fiddly behind at the back. there should be one for each side to hold the wood in place while cutting think they should give you two not one. What I cut did move while cutting so had to use a clamp the other side. What I also have a problem with is the long guide which runs underneath the unit with a black stopper. Holds nothing in place no way of locking it into place. Unless your able to tell me how it works ? Both the plastics that hold the blade in place fall off each time I remove the handle from the main section to set up the next cut. ( VERY POOR ) Think they will break with a little more use. My old unit was made in metal lasted years but not able to cut more than 3/4 inches. Usable but could be a lot better in my mind.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lousy Instructions Bought this today and settled down to assemble it. No assembly instructions included just a random collection of parts. So I spent 30 minutes mucking about with bits and trying to make them fit somewhere. Some random plastic fittings left over, don't know what they're for. There is a schematic of the thing, which is tiny. I'm left wondering how to fix the length stop, I have a spare screw with a nut on it but nowhere does it tell you where to put it? Can't see this on the diagram even with my best glasses on. Supposed to be able to tilt the thing by adjustment with an allen key, but it won't budge, it's stuck. Can't comment on performance, not sure I'll ever get that far with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad for the price This is a close copy of a well known high-end mitre saw. They cost at least twice as much. I used to have access to a work one of those, but no longer. The main issue with this saw is the 'growling' under some cutting conditions. It's to do with the blade vibrating which in turn is probably due to the sliding plastic blade supports (on the steel columns) being a too loose a fit. It could probably also benefit from a better blade - not sure. Despite that It works well with a bit of care and makes decent cuts. I beveled skirting (around 80mm high) around a room and also cut hardwood quadrant to cover flooring edges. With a little bit of design improvement a 'Mk2' could be almost problem free. Despite that, I'm pleased with it at the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good ,could do better Good value and it is easy to achieve accurate results. Well made and packed. What lets it down are the instructions. Whilst self explanatory in many ways I am left with three parts that I don't know what to do with . They may further improve the performance but they are not shown on the diagram
