Wealden & Trend make some of their cutters with 8mm shanks but the range is limited.

Wealden Tools do a bearing guided ones that are a lot easier to use than a straight bit and router fence.

I mark centre with a centre punch & plunge with router using a wealden tools 35mm cutter.....takes seconds....

....and the mouth full of mdf is just a little breakfast bonus....

Most decent tool shops or hire shops will be able to have the blade sharpened, usually about 1wk turnaround and for that size will cost £10-15. Never heard of summit, try CMT, Freud, Wealden etc

Wealden & KWO are as good if not better than Trend if you look at most woodworking sites they all get a good write up. The shank on the TCT is 38mm long and about 35 on the versofix, all the sizes ...

Sounds as though he hasn't got a router or bit thats why he asked what to by. The Wealden cutter is only £1.00 more than the freud cutter in SF catalogue and a lot better quality. I think two passes w ...

The Kity takes a 200mm blade same as my Bestcombi 2000.
