Zinsser B-I-N Shellac-Based Primer White 1Ltr
I was repainting some pine furniture with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Despite sanding all the old varnish off, there was still some horrendous bleed through.
One coat of this done the trick. Quick dry within 30 mins or so, although i left it overnight to fully harden. I used a gloss roller (sponge) to apply the thin paint. It is quite runny.
Cannot fault it. No more bleed through at all. Lovely finish.

I previously had wooden pine doors that had been stained many times over the years, and i decided to paint them white. Fortunately i painted only one first to see if normal satin wood would cover it. I primed it first with a knott wood paint and then painted them with three coats of satinwood paint - lovely, i thought!!! Within a month yellow staining appeared randomly over the door (especially on the knots) making it look awful. My husband works on a construction site and he told a professional painter what had happened and asked how to rectify the problem. He recommended zinsser stain killer!!! Not only have i painted the rest of the doors now, but i have painted my bannisters, cladding and skirting boards in my hall way. Perfect!! No staining to be seen anywhere. I strongly recommend this product.

I needed to paint over a previously stained & varnished staircase and with a little preparation and a coat of B.I.N primer sealer I was able to apply the gloss paint. I have also repainted a stained wooden hall stand, previously I would have spent ages sanding down to wood, but no need now!

Best cover up paint
Tried many other coverup paints but this is the best by far!
