Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement for hozelock timer Amazingly simple to set up and adjust compatible with existing hozelock fittings. Works great over the past few days time will tell on its overall reliability but looks good so far

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but........ I bought this timer to replace a Pope programmable timer I bought in Australia. I was good value for money with lots of useful features. All went well but after a few days I noticed that the time shown was wrong. On further investigation not only was the time wrong but the day was incorrect. Unit replaced and again all was well for 10 days then the same thing happened. Returned again and on. My third unit today. I would like to think it was a faulty batch and the new one was from a different branch- so fingers crossed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Replacement Replaces a dual timer, as this only has one output had to join 2 10mm pipes together, not a problem but as I had Baskets near tap and also the other outlet went down the bottom of the garden I have had to insert drip taps to limit the flow at the house end or they get most of the water, seems easy to setup and program, has 4 settings in 24hours , will have to see how reliable unit is but looks well made.

Hi. Has anyone using this product encountered problems with water leaking from the device? Does the position of the timer have an effect on this? For example, I had to put mine horizontally rather than vertically - could this cause water leakage?

There is no information on the mounting position in the installation instructions.
Asked by: Cosm
Hello Cosm, This water timer should be fitted vertically rather than horizontally, if this has been fitted as per the instructions but still there is water leakage it is possibly a faulty unit in which we would recommend to return to Screwfix. Thank you for using Q & A. DC

Can you tell me whether the pressure regulator unit that comes with the micro irrigation kit 26080 can be attached to the programmable water timer?

Suitable for water butt?

Is this suitable for a water butt, i.e. not a mains pressure? Thanks.
Asked by: noclass1980
Hello noclass1980, There is no information in the instructions saying if you could run of a water butt, so presume mains only. Thank you for using Q&A, [BH].

The electronic watering timer I have is always in the open position . I have set up day and date and time on etc. Any suggestions?

Asked by: supasparxx
Hi supasparxx, If you have followed the instructions and set it up correctly then unfortunately it is probably faulty, as per WotEver's reply. Thanks for using Screwfix Q&A. JT

does the programmer need a pressure regulator?

Asked by: Algycee
Hello Algycee, Not necessarily, the programmer can be used on water pressures up to 120psi / 8 bar, so provided the water supply you fix it to is a lower pressure, no further regulation is required. Thank you for using Q&A, KC
