great shed once erected when i needed a large shed i spent ages looking at both wooden & metal. Given the large cost advantage of metal sheds i took the plunge. As many other reviewers have said this thing is time consuming to erect - but not that difficult. In all it took me 2 days working on my own, with only occasional help to hold a couple of panels in place. I found the instructions OK to follow and didnt have to undo any work as i went. But id definitely advise reading them a couple of times before starting. A good drill driver is a must have, as there are hundreds of screws. I only had to redrill 4 holes, which considering the precision nature of the shed I was very surprised at. I think this was because i had a dead flat concrete base put down first. I can imagine that trying to put this on top of patio slabs would be a nightmare with the hole alignment. In all a very sturdy, good value shed, as long as its placed on a very flat base, and you have the time to do it. 20 Oct 2014
Yardmaster Sliding Door Bought this shed as opposed to a wooden one or the pre-fab concrete garage due to price and the 10 year no rust guarantee. After two courtesy phone calls from the courier to arrange a delivery time that was convenient for me, it arrived within 6 days of ordering. The 3 boxes that the shed arrived in were very heavy, but the delivery driver took them to the location that I asked him to. The shed took me and my Dad roughly 10 hours over two days to build. The first day was sacrificed as it was the same day that I had the concrete delivered for the base. After tamping and floating the concrete slab we set about making sense of the instructions, making up the base, mid and top sections, as well as the doors and roof frame. The next day when the slab was dry we began assembling the project together. We followed the instructions carefully and built the frame up with no problems at all. As it was a windy day, we agreed that it was important that we made the roof frame up the day before on the ground because adding this to the main frame gave the whole thing extra strength whilst we cladded the sides and eventually the roof. It is true that building the roof frame from scratch on top of the shed would have been a complete nightmare. Definitely build this on the floor – all sections apart from the roof cladding sheets! Some reviews here cite difficulties in the build due to the pre-drilled holes not lining up. We had no such issues. The concrete base we laid was flat and square, so was the frame. We checked at every stage that the frame was square and had no problems whatsoever. No drilling was required at all! We found that it is also important to build the shed using electric screwdrivers that have torque settings. The self-tapping screws can over tighten if you are not careful rendering the fitting weak and flimsy. I saw here a suggestion to rivet the thing, but think that this would be too much trouble, [particularly if you put a rivet in the wrong place and then have to drill it out. Overall I think that this is great product. Good value for money and a straightforward build. Despite the reviews I have to say that it was easy and rather enjoyable to construct. The only downsides are the doors. They are flimsy, bowed and are hung very low. The doors struggle on their runners despite a good coating of copper slip grease and present a head injury hazard. Set against the whole, they are rather small and pathetic. For this reason this shed should not be considered if security is an issue. Also, just after building it, my 5 year old son kicked a football at it and the ball left a dent. Be aware then when storing your shed stuff that the walls are thin (but structurally strong), and if items fall against them, they are likely to dent. 19 Oct 2014
the new shed you get what it says on the box, you must have two people and at least a day and a half. please ware gloves and watch you head unless you are on the small side entrance too low! the insructions could be a little better especially for the roof supports but overall i give it 8/10 26 Sep 2014
Burn the instructions! Firstly the instructions-find the box they are in, and then set fire to them! Never seen instructions so poor. They tell you to put a part together with about 50 screws, then very soon, you will have to take all the screws out to join another part!! Took us 2 days to complete. Had to take the roof off and start again on day 2, because the Perspex sections threw it out, but didn't realise until we got to the last sheet and there was too much overhang!! Stress, blisters, cuts, and almost divorce proceedings!! However, when you have gone through the construction ordeal, it is a good sturdy shed. Apart from the doors - they are rubbish. Flimsy, bendy and don't stay in the runners, and don't think oiling them as per instructions will work - it doesn't. And the door height is way too low. Hubby and I have almost brained ourselves numerous times already (I'm only 5' 6") Would never buy another one, unless I could afford to pay someone to put it up for me, but hope this one will last many years so we don't need to. If it ever needs replacing however, I will spend the extra and get a timber one, purely because it would be easier to build. 17 Aug 2014
