great product I bought this a couple of days ago. Excellent value for price. It is really easy to install. But setting up is a bit tricky. You'll have to read the manual thoroughly, to be able to configure to your desire. This is only because there are many options to set the unit at. I would recommend it all day long. 17 Aug 2015
v.good Had this alarm fitted for 4 years. Siren batteries last around 2 years and pirs d/c last about 3 years. It is set everyday and has never been unreliable. It is very loud ...a couple of things missing ...It would be great if when arming at night you could have a lower volume countdown and i think the siren should be two way technology ...but yeah this goes off when tested and compared to my two wired alarms in previous houses it is more reliable. Good stuff. 12 Aug 2015
Easy replacement for HSA500 Bought this as a replacement for my 20 year old Yale alarm system. It was easy to fit, and the telecommunicating system is a great addition, meaning that I know if my alarm should sound when I am out. Shame Screwfix don't stock all the accessories, but found them easily through the internet. 6 Aug 2015
Comprehensive spec and feature Bought this item when it was on offer with a £100 off so it was good value, otherwise I would have bought a more basic model. The parts seem well made, only time will prove reliability. There is a dvd which accompanies the kit, vital as there are a multitude of options to operate the alarm. The only 2 gripes have is that only 2 window contacts are provided in this 'premium' kit and no key fons at all. Buying 3 more contacts and 2 key fobs adds nearly another £90 onto the cost! I reccommend testing the alarm with the siren in the box or with ear defenders on as the sounder is very loud! Do it while the neigbours are out! Otherwise this is a good piece of kit at a great price when on offer 27 Jul 2015

Hi
Sorry no we dont recommend that the siren is hardwired - for security as wires can be cut.

I am basically interested in knowing what the main purpose of the control panel is. My telephone line is in my reception room so it would be difficult to run the telephone line into the landing area. Could I connect the control panel to my phone line and the mains supply in my reception room and keep the control panel out of the way. And then keep a key fob instead by the front door to activate the alarm. If i did this, on which occasions would I have to use the control panel and type in the pin number?

Answer:
Hi
The main control unit is used for programming and for fault finding ie low batteries and any alarm activations. It can be positioned wherever convenient for a telephone line and mains power. The keyfob can be used for arming and disarming, however if the alarm was triggered you would need to utilise the panel and pin code.

Hi
Yes as long as any devices upstairs are set to "Home Omit" you can move around freely when the home arm setting is used. These devices automatically become "Burglar" when the away arm mode is used. Thanks
