Rated 3 out of 5 by Failed Bought this two days after the main alarm installed. It locked "Away" and locked "Home" but would not unlock so returned it, didn't buy another one. The battery is not AAA but the large round flat silver battery. "TIP" This applies to all the sensors etc. Use "Command" strips on the back of the items to stick them to the walls, doors etc. If you only lightly press them to the wall then you can test the position for activation and signal strength. It allows you then to move them until you are satisfied with the location of each item. It also saves drilling the walls then finding its in the wrong place / position. 13 Dec 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 Brilliant additional product I purchased the remote keypad to install along with the Easy Fit Kit 2 as an alternative to trying to install the main alarm panel in a location that was accessible, but also neat without having wires and cables on show. Purchasing this enabled me to install the main panel out of the way next to a electric socket and telephone point, and to have this renote keypad located next to the front door for both ease of entry for ourselves and also tidiness as this is battery operated. Battery life is stated as being approximately 2 years, and with only AAA batteries installed at least it is nice and easy to change. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting the Easy Fit Kit Alarm but also wanting to be aesthetically pleased with their installation. 14 Apr 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Convenient By the front door well away from the Panel this is much easier to operate. The buttons are too small for big fingers or gloves! 7 Feb 2015

Hi This Keypad is not compatible with this HSA3800 alarm, you can however use the HSA6060 Keyfob (64786) which will do the same job as a keypad. Thanks Yale Consumer Team

Hi
The Keypad can only omit zones when it is used with a control panel based system (42727) when used as a standard alarm kit it doesnt have this feature.
Thank you

I want to connect the control panel for this alarm to my phone line and the mains supply in my reception room and keep the control panel out of the way to avoid having visible wires. And then keep this key fob instead by the front door to activate the alarm. Would that be possible and if so, on which occasions would I have to use the control panel and type in the pin number?

Hi
The EF-KP (15798) is not compatible with the HSA6400 (54473) you can use a HSA6060 keyfob (64786) for use by the front door - you will always need to use the control panel and pin number to gain access to the program menu and for any battery changes etc.
Thanks
