practical hose reel!bought this reel as I was looking for one for ages, read the reviews first though! assembly fairly straight forward, the reel moves about the spindle for some reason, anyway drilled out the fixing bracket(by the way no fixings supplied) with 12mm holes then drilled and fixed the whole cabudle to the side of my bungalow with 10mm rawl bolts, make sure if you are using protruding bolts that they are hammered in fully otherwise they will foul ok. all connections good, hose wound onto reel ok and then the pressure test proved no leaks, they have modified the connections then!!! shame about the one way to fit the bracket and also the main connector is plastic, I am going to get a tap connector to fit hozelock fittings made of brass, they are pretty cheap to buy! time will tell if this thing rusts or falls to bits!!

Rusts and falls apart-avoidHi, had this for 2 years and immediately noticed issues. The screws and bolts are all steel which corrode and rust in the first winter. This includes the handle which came off as a result.
Having fitted a new handle myself this morning the swivel hose connector sheered off (brass but very thin). Hi bought this as a long term investment to keep my reel and now realise that maybe plastic is better after all!

Faulty connectorFitted this to the wall and it worked fine for the first few weeks. Then the feed connection failed, which meant that, as soon as the water is switched on, it blows off the hose from the connection point.
