Vent-Axia 100B W Silent Axial Bathroom Extractor Fan
Very impressed with this fan
I've had this installed in a downstairs shower room for about a week now and I'm really impressed with the fan. It's quite a cold rooms so a lot of steam is generated and this fan clears the room by the time I towel down and leave following a shower. The previous fan took about 15 mins to clear.
I have it set on the high speed and you can hear it when the shower room door is closed. I did have it set on the low speed to start with, which is silent as advertised, but it didn't clear the room as well as the high speed......and compared with the fan it replaced the noise the high speed makes is minimal.
It was very easy to install. Just check that the back draught flaps a both down before you fix it in place.
I did buy the one with the timer to start with but that requires a 3 pole isolation switch. This one doesn't so it was a quick swap out with the previous fan - 10 min job.
Overall very happy with it. Just wish I bought it a few weeks earlier when it was on offer. Well worth the normal retail price though.

I haven't used this product yet so can't really rate the reliability however on testing it it is one of the quietest fans I've ever heard or not as the case may be.

Vent-Axia - Silent running?
I found the plastic casing flimsy, the PBC not secured in its slots when installing on ceiling - it kept falling out when up side down!
But most frustratingly, when I finally got it installed on the low speed setting - the fan rattles and vibrates away making more noise than the original one!!
Watch the short video for proof!!
Back to Screwfix for a replacement I think!

Easy to fit, practically silent, inconspicuous cover makes it less ugly than competing products.
