Use with sealant remover gel
I see there are some mixed reviews on this product. I found it pretty good (albeit the edges to the plastic handle a bit keen and therefore uncomfortable). It needed a bit of pressure but ripped out most to the sealant without too much effort. I then applied the No Nonsense sealant remover gel, left 15-20mins and then came back with this tool.
The combination of the two products was brilliant. What had previously taken hours of scraping carefully with a knife, now took no more than 20 mins (most of which was having a cup of tea) and the silicon was gone - beautifully clean surfaces!
Some say this product wears out quickly, so I reserved one star in case it does the same for me in the future - so far though, not a problem.

Could be better
Foe removing the old Silicone it was good and didn't damage the tiles or shower base.
However when smoothing and shaping the new silicone sealant it was only good to swipe one way as only one corner is snipped off. So working in a closed shower cubicle when you have to smooth it down both ways in nigh impossible. So its an average rating from me. One little change would make it much better. So I am adapting mine and cutting of 2 corners of the paddle.

Done half the job
The tool started off great and ripped out the old sealant perfectly. The plastic tips on the tool soon blunted and bent and I reverted to using a wallpaper scraper and screwdriver. I found profile on the smoother was way too big and didn't even touch the bead of sealant. I would have had to put down a 2cm diameter off beading for it to have worked.
