Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs better than expected Installed 2 of these to drive new LAP LED Flood lights for rear garden as an upgrade to halogen units and old PIR. Coverage is far better than old PIR with a ful 180 coverage. PIR now activates a soon as back door is opened proving full coverage and greater sensitivity. Not noticed any false triggers. A good product, hope they are reliable. Going to replace the PIR on the front with the same model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple PIR Nice, simple PIR. Easy to install and set up. Have it wired to a light above a door and it works perfectly.

Answer:
Hello Alireza.

As far as we are aware this can be used outdoors, it depends were you are placing the standalone PIR as it is only rated IP44 making it water-resistant and not waterproof as you would require IP65 rating for waterproof.

Thank you for using Q&A.

What is the angle like between the base on the main sensor? Could it be mounted on a ceiling and still have the sensor pointing outwards?

Answer:
Hi Bowside, This is not a light but rather a PIR (Passive Infra Red) movement sensor. When wired up correctly, it can be used to switch on at night, lights etc when something or someone walks in front of it. I hope this information is of help to you.
