Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the job!!!! Bought this element to use as an electric only towel radiator in a down stairs toilet. Fitted using PTFE tape as instructed. Easy to fit and no leaks!!! The radiator gets really hot when on full (I also used the controller from screwfix). Really happy with my purchase. I will be buying another to use as a dual fuel for upstairs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks! Installed and filled towel rail with oil. Then found oil leaking from the element. Investigation showed that this was from where the element was screwed - during manufacture into the radiator connection T piece. The casting looked as though there should have been an o ring to seal but none fitted. Unfortunately I was in France and could not pop down to my local Srewfix to get sorted.

Plumbing is to the bottom of a 1700 high towel radiator. Plumbing cannot be changed at the bottom, so the only option is to install at the top and take cable up the wall and through ceiling.
Would heat circulate from this position?

Answer:
Hello Ganradlogin.

In theory the radiator element can be put in top of towel radiator, but it would only heat top half of radiator as heat travels up, and bottom of radiator might get warm.

Thank you for using Q&A.
