Rated 4 out of 5 by from 150W Towel rad Element Fitted as replacement to oil-filled towel rad. Fitted without problems, full seal achieved without any PTFE and warms up quite quickly. Customer happy straightaway. Can't comment on reliability as only installed last week. It seems obvious but do remember when fitting to oil -filled rad to take rad off wall and turn up-side down so that oil doesn't fall out!!! It stains your fingers as well...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No issues with this item Bought this for a client. No problems fitting it. Being only 150W it will take longer to heat up, so if you need something to heat up quickly go for a higher watts (400?) or if you what to leave this on for longer it's ideal to save £££.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from do no buy 3 times we tried to fit one of these and all 3 failed - none of them worked and the quality checking on these must be pretty bad for that to happen. Now gone to another manufacturer/seller to try another make!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bit of kit I opted for a 150 watt element to save electricity if it was inadvertantly left on. It has replaced a 400 watt element and performs fantastically. Warms up in 20 mins and dries the towels fine

Product operation

The radiator heating element is fitted and connected. When The central heating goes off and the valve is set to high there is no heat I was expecting it to kick in once the heating went off as it would do for the winter

Towel radiator help?

I have now tried fitting two of these but can't get either to work, having tested them both before fitting. Control is via a Kudox Electronic Heating Element Controller. I have a similar system in another bathroom which works perfectly (installed about 1yr ago). Any thoughts would be appreciated?
Cheers

What Size of Rad

What size of towel rail would this work up to? I would like to run a 150w as it would be very cost effective for all day running but can I use this with a Towel rail of about 1200 X 500 for example. How hot is the rail likely to get and if it wouldn't do any harm it would be great. I dont need a fast heat up time just all day heating.
