This is a beast of a cutter!
Been let down with so many others (i'm looking at you Ryobi!), so i wasn't expecting much, but it tanked through my overgrown allotment in no time at all.
Very easy to setup and use, and started 1st time ... unheard of!
Absolutely no hesitation in recommending.
Would buy again (but doubt i'll need to!)

I cant believe the power out of it for the money. I bought this to remove unwanted grass and weeds from a large planting area. Cleared in about 1hr (1m x20m) grass about 2ft high. It made light work of it. The only bad thing is the guard is unnecessarily deep. Its a pain when using the cutting tool, now in fairness, i was trying to skim the top of the soil off but i just thought it didnt need to be so deep. Definatly recommend, low vibration, low noise.
***Took a while to start it the first time even after following the instructions to the letter, had to leave it for a while, --- i may have flooded the carb but just incase anybody else is having an issue.

I really hate to be negative about things, but if this is going to save someone else the anger and frustration I've experienced since I bought this thing it might be worth it.
Ok, It certainly does not lack power, and once I'd ground some edges onto the blades it did a proper job on the weeds and small bushes.
Not so, unfortunately, when I switched to the trimmer cord, which must have been sub standard, as it lasted only seconds before shearing off flush with the plastic drum that held the remaining cord. I fixed this by buying cord of a different make, which fortunately proved to be of much sterner stuff.
Though the 'bump' feed did not work at all, it was easy enough press the centre and pull the cord out manually, also, with the new cord I didn't need to do this as often.
Sadly, even after I had fitted a replacement for the quickly broken harness and surgically altered it's point of suspension to save myself a serious rupture, I came to realise that this thing was far from finished with me and had saved it's best for last.
Despite carefully mixing the fuel/oil mixture exactly as prescribed and strict adherence
to the relevant instructions, the engine will start but once, when it is cold. Fortunately, it ticks over quite reliably, but if it is allowed to stall or run out of fuel, I can forget all about using it for the rest of the day.
And I've got a sprained wrist to prove it.
So if you're considering purchasing this item, I suggest that before you make up your mind you ask yourself 'Do I feel lucky today?'

On the face of it this machine is a bargain but it does have some quite serious issues.
Ergonomics are awful. I am 5'10" so pretty average height but despite spending quite a lot of time adjusting the handlebars in different ways could not get comfortable. My trigger wrist was cramped badly. Then the pin which locates the handlebars into the the main shaft broke.
Very heavy with lots of vibration. Uses quite incredible quantities of petrol.
Engine started bogging down on full throttle, this and the petrol consumption suggests to me that it was over-fuelling. Couldn't see any obvious way to adjust the carb to compensate for this, so I took it back. Refunded by Screwfix with out quibble which was appreciated.
Bought a Kawasaki for nearly 3 times the money, and supposedly half the power. Cuts better, easier to handle, 25% of the fuel consumption, and totally reliable.
Like I said, you get what you pay for.
