Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job Had to get this in a hurry so no time to shop around, great price, feels nice when handled and is easy to use. The spring loading is a bit sticky and the locking lever feels weak but it certainly does the job, that was until the 3rd day where it just stopped working. Screwfix replaced it immediately and all was well again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good enough Only bought this for one job so didn't want to spend a fortune, but ended up using it for lots. I was a little concerned because of the negative reviews, but mine not as bad as described. Cut my hard wood worktop without issues and did a good job of it, but all of them where straight cuts and did not use a JIG. Also used it for cutting groves in softwood and trimming doors. The good points: - Cheaper 1/2 Router than most others - On mine the alignment of the bit was center so could do accurate cuts. - Got through the hardwood worktop without an issue. The not so good: -The plunge motion was very stiff off the bat, but improved with use - It would only plunge when weight was put on one side of the plate and not the other so when using a straight edge always had to come at it from the same direction which is not always perfect as on one cut it chipped a tiny bit of wood of the front edge. - the plunge had a habit of un-plunging as you moved it away from the body. But that may be me... All in all fine for DIYing

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Titan Router Good entry level router, I found that you have to keep your finger on the speed thumb wheel when in use as the vibration will turn the wheel and lower the speed.

Isit possible to buy an 8mm collet for this. Is it compatible with another manafacturer?
Asked by: Philbury
It's annoying because they do make them - they sell this in France with 6mm and 8mm collets
