Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't Waste Your Money This was my first router, so wasn't sure what to expect. As most of the reviews were fairly positive I thought the Titan was a good place to start. It didn't take me long to discover that the parallel guide rail was prone to flexing causing a less than straight cut. Furthermore screws used to lock the guide in place had a habit of working loose. Then disaster a router bit I had been using got stuck in the collet. The spanner provided was inadequate for the job and if you used a heavier spanner it forced the spindle lock to pop out, no matter how much force you used. I took the router back to Screwfix, who confirmed that there was a problem and offered me a complete refund or a part exchange on another. I paid the extra and bought an Erbauer in the hope that because it was more expensive, it will be better. Hope I'm right.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK for the price. Bought this to do joints on worktop, word of caution the guide bush is 2mm undersize and offset by a further 2 mm. Once I'd worked out the problems with the bush it was great little machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good router, but not perfect I got this router after my previous one - a large and heavy one - died. The features I like most about this router are: - I was immediately impressed by the size and weight of this router. It falls very naturally in the hands and is very easy to control. - At 1250W, it is more than powerful enough for any handheld work. My previous router was a 1800w model but this one is still more than powerful enough for any work you would carry out in a handheld router. - It has a good range of plunge action and the depth gauge and rotary turret works well. - It's easy to replace bits. Despite the compact dimensions of the unit, access to the spindle and the lock is good (unless you have the vacuum attachment on, but that's life!). The baseplate is a mixed blessing. It very small, which keeps the unit compact, and also allows you to "get into corners" with ease, but if you are need to route a large gap then you'll need to provide your own, larger base plate. Still, this seems like a reasonable compromise. I've been less impressed with other aspects of this router: - It's single speed. There is a variable speed version of this router (the user guide mentions it) but mine is single speed, which is not really that great. - The plunge action sticks if pressure is not applied absolutely evenly. If you are trying to plunge the router near the edge of the work, it will stick and you will need to position it somewhere else, push it down, lock it and then move it into position. This is a common problem with routers, but still frustrating. - The fence is very flimsy. It works well enough, but it is so thin that you need to be careful not to bend it when laying the router down! - It comes without a case. This is not unreasonable, but nevertheless you'll need to find a way to house it and its accessories.

I asked the last question re screws - the answer is not helpful as I made the table and the screws have to match the threads in the router !! My question still stands !!
