Use this to empty disused pond that I have not yet decided whether to keep or not. Powerful and efficient and makes short work of the emptying process. Float switch a bit awkward to position to keep pump running hence 4 rather than 5.

The pump was used for clearing surface rain water which collected in a sump.
Initially the pump worked well clearing large quantities of water quickly. Setting the water levels with the float switch is fiddly and not completely satisfactory. After a few weeks the automatic priming started to fail and it then became essential to ensure that the pump stopped before the pump started sucking air.
Ten months after purchasing the pump the earth leakage trip built into the 13 amp plug cut out. After resetting this the earth leakage trip in my home also cut out. I can only presume there is now water in the pump's electrics!

Although it states 'dirty water' pump, I use the pump for clean water, to empty and refill the hot tub. A great flow rate and ideal for occasional use, every 3 -4 months.

Needed a pump to remove dirty rain water from bund tanks. Connected 10 m lay flat 50mm pipe , plugged in and dropped into tank and walked away. Came back 20 minutes later and all the water had gone - at least 3000 litres.
The float switch can be used automatically but we needed all the water out so manually fixed it in up position.
This pump appears well built and of robust construction . I like the special sealed plug and remote safety switch and reset control.
All, round well worth the money as it does exactly what you would buy a pump for and very economically
