Rated 4 out of 5 by Good - but messy I purchased this having read reviews on this and the other model in a similar price range. Having never used one before either, I was wary of how I'd get on with it. Well it does the job of cutting out two grooves which you then still have to chisel out and tidy up, but if you wanted a wider channel you'd have to do two passes before you do this. Now the mess. I have a Titan wet/dry vacuum. Not sure how you're supposed to attach the vac hose without resorting to using copious amounts of tape, but the vac hose wasn't long enough at the top (start) of the wall anyway. Result... brick dust expelled out the top of the machine and brick dust all over the place. The actual outlet for the dust doesn't seem big enough to cope. Also, the extraction hose ought to be pointing down rather than at a right angle. Maybe I was going too fast, but the machine did tend to set its own course and pace (which was quite quick to be truthful) Apart from the mess, which I guess now I've done it is par for the course (so deal with it right?). Suggest sealing the room very well indeed and of course use PPE. Do all your chases in one swoop and worry about cleaning up the mess afterwards. But really, it does zip down the walls and I'm happier knowing that the cables in conduit/capping are sufficiently deep and secure, now it's been plastered over before re-skimming. 25 Jun 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply awesome Hadn't used anything like this before but it was simple to set up and worked exactly like I hoped it would. Make sure you use a good vacuum with it - before mine overheated there was very little dust, afterwards.. Not so much! 16 Jun 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wall chasing made easy Used the Titan wall chaser for the first time yesterday and it made a horrible job much easier. You do need a good vacuum cleaner to avoid massive amounts of dust. 10 Jun 2016

Hello Jammin138,

Every installation is different due to the varying circumstances of the site and environment.

Therefore we advise that you contact a local tradesperson who will be able to view and assess your particular requirements. They will be able to provide further advice for the installation of the wall chaser.

Thank you for using Q&A.

Henry, by numatic. It's the only vac I know copes with building dust. And it is a good vacuum cleaner worth the £75

But the wee Titan wet n dry for £30 must be your best bet on a budget

Does it simply cut 2 parallel lines in the wall so you can go along and chisel out the channel, or do they clear the channel automatically?

Answer:
Hi,
That is correct. It cuts two parallel grooves with an adjustable cutting width of from 8 to 30mm, and an adjustable cutting depth of from 0 to 40mm. The channel then has to be cleaned out with hammer and chisel or similar.
I hope this information is of help to you.
