Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product possible This wall chaser is probably the worst purchase youll ever make if you plans are to chase a few walls out. You'd be quicker chasing the wall with a rusty butter knife than this contraption. there'll be more time spent driving back to screwfix to return it than actually using it, Bought one, packed in after 3 chases, returned it and got another, it only did 2 chases and stopped too. pure disaster!! pay cheap and get cheap!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great chaser I use a lot of Titan products now and can't fault them for the price. Well made and sturdy and I would say they compete with the more expensive brands. Surprisingly good performance for the price. Plenty of power even at full depth of 40mm. I'm using it with the Titan vacuum with the auto start socket on board (70472) and it drops very little dust. Easy to handle makes light work even in hard bricks. Reliability I gave 3 as the first one I purchased gave up after 1 metre of chasing, however exchanged at SF with no quibble and I've worked the replacement hard all day with no problems at all...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never got to use it! We bought this to replace our Erbauer wall chaser which has lasted around 3 years. Never even had a chance to use it! Not sure whether we had a duff one or whether it was a batch fault but would couldn't even release the retaining bracket to get the cutting blades on. The wrench actually ended up bending it was stuck fast! Also A LOT heavier than the Erbauer model, so that's the one we'd have to recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor design I bought this for a rewire and was instantly disappointed with it. The handle comes loose every time it is used. The main concern is that the dust extraction route gets clogged up with bits of debris and stops any dust being vacuumed meaning the room is filled with dust in no time. I understand it is a cheap product but it is a very poor design. I am now stuck with a poor product as I bought it over a month before use and unable to return.

Use in concrete floor

Can this be used on an indoor concrete floor? I looking at moving some water pipes in the downstairs cloakroom.
Asked by: Jammin138
Yes, but use an extractor to vent the dust! Obviously check for existing pipework etc in the floor.

could you load this tool with one blade and use it for single line cutting

Socket Boxes

Can you use this for socket boxes as well?
Asked by: SuperSparkes
Yes, I used it for this and cut several lines and then broke away the tongues of plaster. Because of the circular disc, you will need to cut beyond the outline of the box and then fill the cuts where not needed.

What's the best tool to use for dust extraction?

I'm on a tight budget and need something to collect the dust. What's the best value extractor to use?

Wickes Wet & Dry (215735) - £40. Had one 8 years for collecting all building rubble. Get the filter (500377) - £15 & clean it regularly: Magic

How does a Wall chaser work?

Does it simply cut 2 parallel lines in the wall so you can go along and chisel out the channel, or do they clear the channel automatically?
Asked by: lazygit
Hi, That is correct. It cuts two parallel grooves with an adjustable cutting width of from 8 to 30mm, and an adjustable cutting depth of from 0 to 40mm. The channel then has to be cleaned out with hammer and chisel or similar. I hope this information is of help to you.
