Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor design I bought this for a rewire and was instantly disappointed with it. The handle comes loose every time it is used. The main concern is that the dust extraction route gets clogged up with bits of debris and stops any dust being vacuumed meaning the room is filled with dust in no time. I understand it is a cheap product but it is a very poor design. I am now stuck with a poor product as I bought it over a month before use and unable to return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Titan wall chaser Surprisingly a very good tool for the money, couldn't justify one before due to cost of other brands but this certainly does the job. Used with a good vacuum cleaner (i.e. Titan) it produces little dust. Width settings are ideal for oval conduits and depth easily achieved. Saves hours of hand chasing, well worth the money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would not recommend Bought this to add to my collection. The dust extractor adapter is not the best as the tube keeps falling out. Also even though it's 1700 watts it's still not as powerful as my Ebaurer chaser and it seems to take longer to chaser. The handle should have been threaded the other way as it seems to come loose when dragging it down the wall. I have also this morning gone to buy different blades to see if that would help with speeding the chasing up but the blades are an awkward size at 150mm. Screw fix don't sell them and tried 4 other well known builders merchants. Opinion is its poorly designed and good luck finding blades. Go for the Ebaurer chaser as it knocks socks off the titan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value chaser So far done about 20m of chasing in wall with very tough bricks. So far so good, and no sign of it struggling. Only down side is that my Titan hoover connections will not fit the dust extraction.

Use in concrete floor

Can this be used on an indoor concrete floor? I looking at moving some water pipes in the downstairs cloakroom.
Asked by: Jammin138
Yes, but use an extractor to vent the dust! Obviously check for existing pipework etc in the floor.

could you load this tool with one blade and use it for single line cutting

Socket Boxes

Can you use this for socket boxes as well?
Asked by: SuperSparkes
Yes, I used it for this and cut several lines and then broke away the tongues of plaster. Because of the circular disc, you will need to cut beyond the outline of the box and then fill the cuts where not needed.

What's the best tool to use for dust extraction?

I'm on a tight budget and need something to collect the dust. What's the best value extractor to use?

Wickes Wet & Dry (215735) - £40. Had one 8 years for collecting all building rubble. Get the filter (500377) - £15 & clean it regularly: Magic

How does a Wall chaser work?

Does it simply cut 2 parallel lines in the wall so you can go along and chisel out the channel, or do they clear the channel automatically?
Asked by: lazygit
Hi, That is correct. It cuts two parallel grooves with an adjustable cutting width of from 8 to 30mm, and an adjustable cutting depth of from 0 to 40mm. The channel then has to be cleaned out with hammer and chisel or similar. I hope this information is of help to you.
