Having misplaced the parallel guide for my router I purchased this as a backup to fit some fire doors as I didn't have time to search any longer for the guide. Having fitted the doors I would go as far as to say that I would actually prefer to use this router over my more powerful Erbauer router, it's handy, plenty powerful, well made and all in all for the money absolutely cracking! I have scored 4 for reliability as it seems well put together and with a two year warranty and Screwfix's returns policy on Titan products the worst that could happen is a trip back to the store for a replacement if it did burn out.

This was cheaper than actually hiring a router for the day. Really impressed with the quality of the tool seems more than up for the job of occasional diy. Shame it did't come with bits but can't complain too much as the price was great.

I bought this to replace an old Black and Decker Router that my late father in law gave me many years ago.
It works very well and has done the job that I needed. Just read the instructions and tighten up the router collect before starting and check later. It is very quiet and powerful. That will depend on how sharp your tools are of course. The plastic carrying case is impressive BUT when assembled - with guide- the router does not fit into it- balmy or what?
Obviously I cannot vouch for its long life- we will see but an amateur should have no problems.
