the sanding block springs, I bought, were in danger of digging into your hand, with the possibility of causing blood to flow.
Poor design in my opinion

A really good little tool. It's designed to allow you to cut a standard sheet of sandpaper into several strips, with none wasted. You can clip a bit of sandpaper on in seconds, it holds it tight, and the soft rubber-foam base gives a slight flex to the sanding surface.
For very acurate flat sanding of a surface, a solid base may be better?
Just a simple tool, but just the thing for finishing surfaces by hand, especially curved or irregular faces.
