Titan TTB426GDO 20cm 750W Electric Pole Saw Pruner 230V
Value for money
Bought this after pondering for ages about whether to buy a chainsaw. I have some trees to trim and did not really want go go for the 'nuclear option' of a chainsaw - so this seemed to fit the bill.
There is some self-assembly required, which I found a bit of a pain - I wanted to get at the tree! Once all done, I found filling with oil a little troublesome - due to the oil spout on the 'No-Nonsense' oil bottle being so much bigger than the hole in the pruner, much went on the floor. Whoops.
In use it was amazing, cutting through branches with ease. I soon forgot the travails of assembly and oil-filling. It was a little end-heavy to use when nearer to horizontal though.
The one feature which is desperately required is, I feel, an adjustable head. To be able to angle the head for better access to awkward branches, and to help with trimming off branches at an even height would then deservedly warrant this tool a full 5 stars

After reading the reviews I decided to buy one. It does the job pretty well and is quite powerful. I see a few people moaning about chain tightening, just make sure you do what the instructions say and keep an eye on things. The first 3-4 cuts you'll need to make sure the chain is tightened etc and after that it appears to be fine. Personally with a piece of kit like this I give it a quick check before firing it up and its a good idea to keep it clean after using it as you'll get oil + wood dust/bits inside the cover but that's just common sense.

Great Lopper, watch oil flow.
Purchased to replace 10 year old battery lopper. Runs much faster and soon cuts through thick branches (Only tried 100mm - 4 inch but should cope with 200mm - 8inch. Good reach when extended and can be used from sturdy steps with care. When extended unless supported by lower branches it is difficult to wear the strap, balance the tool and control the switch. This is probably common to most long poles.
Fitted with, about 3m cable, 10m would keep it well away from extension lead.
Initial item purchased did not pump oil and was replaced by Screwfix next day. If you purchase this item half fill with oil then run before fitting the blade until oil appears. Fit blade and check for oiling. One oil fill lasted for at least twenty cuts, but check level frequently and ensure blade has visible oil which is fed through the blade support..
If you do need to return item empty oil first as Screwfix would not take with oil in.

great piece of kit but after nine months it stopped working, could not find receipt so decided to repair it myself ,as it was only a broken cable where it enters the cutter. the cable is substandard for flexible cable and needs upgrading to a better multi strand cable
